PRAYER REQUEST:
Bethany Hammer - Please pray for my family as we are healing from a deep hurt. Please pray for guidance and wisdom for my dad as he is looking for a new church to minister at and please pray for my to hear God's direction.
Chris Coleman - My sister, Kathe, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. Pray for complete healing. She will be going to the doctors soon to find out what the next step will be for her condition.
Lisa Bradley - I need prayer for my son. Can you please pray that he will get accepted into a special ed preschool where I just sent his enrollment papers? Please. My son's name is Skyler.
Sarah - My brother, Joe, who just had knee surgery that he would find Christ during this time in the hospital. Also, he has diabetes among other sickness. But, I am believing God for deliverance o fhis body, mind, & spirit. And that He calls on the name of Jesus & choses to change his life for Christ. For himself, his wife, Becky, and family. Thank you.
I'm not sure who requested this one - That my family and I close on our home in MI on time so that we can close on the home we are in here in AZ. Blessings indeed.

Kim Hale - For a new project for my husband. The one he was given is looking like it will be cancelled. God's direction, provision, & guidance for us as we are in total limbo at the moment due to losing our business and possibly losing our home.

If you are opposed to abortion then there is bad news on the horizon. For those of you who do not know, the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is set to be signed if congress passes it on January 21-22 of 2009. The FOCA is the next sick chapter in the book of abortion. If made a law then all limitations on abortion will be lifted which will result in the following:
1) All hospitals, including Catholic hospitals will be required to perform abortions upon request. If this happens Bishops vow to close down all Catholic hospitals, more then 30% of all hospitals in the United States.
2) Partial birth abortions would be legal and have no limitations.
3) All U.S. tax payers would be funding abortions.
4) Parental notification will no longer be required.
As Catholics, as Christians, as anyone who is against the needless killing of innocent children, we must stand as one. We must stop this horrific act before it becomes a law.
The Plan :
I encourage you to pray your strongest prayers for nine consecutive days. The hope is that this will branch and blossom as to become a global effort with maximum impact. We have very little time so we all must act fast.

Update from Chris Coleman on her sister, Kathe:
The doctor felt the cancer in her colon yesterday. He said he felt that it has invaded the wall of the colon but doesn’t seems to think that it went outside the wall. He wants to do a couple of other tests on Thursday. A CT scan and another colon test she said was like an ultrasound but forgot the name of it. This will give doctors more information. Good News: He thinks he can take it out and resection the colon back together.
The Bad News: they want to do chemo and radiation (combo) on her everyday for (5 weeks) before the surgery. They have had the best success rate in doing this. After the combo, she will have 1 week of rest, then the surgery, then 4 months of chemo. She is upset about all of this. She was praying for just the surgery.
They also think it is still in a stage 1 which is real good. She also said that they thought it had been growing for 8-10 years. It’s a very slow growing cancer. The last time she had a colonoscopy was in ‘93 when she had Melanoma.
I can only urge others now to please have a colonoscopy, it can save your life.

His project was officially cancelled today. Please pray for another project or job opportunity comes to him quickly. He's essentially the income for our family.
Please pray for me that the job I applied for at the Cancer Research Institute will come through!

In this economy with the unemployment rate so high, I know this is through my precious Jehovah Jireh!!!!! Another Rock of Rememberance!

Pray for Leeum, he’s 10 months and has been in PHX children’s for 4 days. They think he might have leukemia and the doctors are scheduling the bone marrow biopsy. I’m going to be going after work so pray that I can be of help and comfort as well.

Charles and Cathy Caskey - Don't forget to pray for us too; Trinity, where Cathy teaches, is going through a lot of economic adjustments! They, as is true for many of us, do not know the future, and this may affect many teachers!!! May God give their people wisdom and may old families and new families be able to keep their kids in the school or bring them there for a great Christian education.
We need prayer for the lady (Danah) who rents our other house too, she has suffered many trials in 2008, and the end of the tunnel does not show any light. Pray for her - better work, relief from here brother's ugliness, and she needs to respond to the LORD's calling in her life.
